Instructions for International Punjabi Language Olympiad-2025
- Registration for the International Punjabi Language Olympiad can be done online on the
board’s website from 18th August 2025 to 31st October 2025. (https://olympiad.pseb.ac.in)
- The fees for the competition will be deposited online only. The fee structure is as follows:
Primary Category (3rd to 5th) Rs. 50
Middle Category (6th to 8th ) Rs.100
Secondary Category(9th to 12th ) Rs. 100
NRI (All Categories) Rs. 800

Eligibility criteria for participation of Punjab State/ Other State and NRI students in
International Punjabi Language Olympiad 2025
- Third to Fifth class/grade or below 12 years of age
- Sixth to Eighth class/grade or below 15 years of age.
- Ninth to Twelfth class/grade or below 19 years of age.
- For this competition, candidates between the ages of 08 years to 18 years will be able to
register according to their current class/grade.
- If registration is done in the wrong category, the board reserves the right to cancel the
registration.
- To prepare for the competition, a separate syllabus for each category is available online in
PDF format on the board's website.
- A student of each category can register through his/her school or personally.
- The registration fee is non-refundable.
- Indian students outside the state of Punjab and N. R. I. students will have a single stage
paper through online mode only, the result of which will be declared separately. For N. R.
I. and states outside the state of Punjab, only the students who come first in each category
will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 7100/- (one student per category), Rs. 5100/- (one
student per category), Rs. 3100/- (10 students per category).
- This competition will be held in three stages in the state of Punjab.
(a) First stage: There will be an online competition under this stage. In which there will
be a total of 50 questions. Out of which 40 questions will be related to the reading content
and 10 questions will be taken from the relevant syllabus as per the level of the class. All
the questions will be MULTIPLE CHOICE. Based on the marks obtained in the first stage, the
first 60 students from each district (from each category) will go to the second stage.
b) Second stage: In the second stage, the students will take the online test again in which
only the top 60 students from each category of each district will be able to participate. In
which the first ten students from each category of each district will be selected. These
shortlisted candidates will participate in the third stage.
c) Third stage: An offline test will be conducted for the 3rd stage of this Olympiad at
Punjab School Education Board S. A. S. Nagar Mohali. In this, top10 students selected
district-wise under the second stage of each category will participate. The students who
secure the first position in each category will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 7100/- (one
student per category), the second position holders will be awarded Rs. 5100/- (one student
per category), the third position holders will be awarded Rs. 3100/- (10 students per
category).
- The school/institution that registers the maximum number of students for the International
Punjabi Language Olympiad 2025 will also be awarded Rs. 11000/-.
- The school that secures the maximum number of positions (minimum 10) out of the first 100
positions will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 11000/-.
- Only for students from Punjab state and states outside the state of Punjab, Aadhaar
card/school identity card should be affixed. For the identification of foreign students, any
ID card can be affixed.
